Today is Setsubun, and everyone is gathering in Morito, full of energy and not giving in to the cold!
Basic level 4 participants will work together in two boats to set out to sea.
On this day, a nice northeasterly wind was blowing in the morning. In winter, the wind is usually nice in the morning.
I'm getting weaker and weaker, so I have no choice but to get up early even though it's cold. Let's do our best!
We followed the leader and learned how to control our speed and understand the height relative to the wind, and how to run in close holds all at once.
The wind changes frequently in winter, making it difficult, but it's good practice!
Basic course 4A4B will also practice starting together!
Here at a private school, I practiced running with an instructor on a Laser.
To maintain top speed in cruise hold, sail trim, body usage,
Sale settings, etc. It seems there were many discoveries!
There was also a private school for RS200!
In winter, the school is less crowded, so you can take your time and study at a private school.
Please make use of this site to clear up any questions you may have or try out a yacht you've never been on before.
In the afternoon I went to Basic Level 1 school.
The wind has died down a bit, but it's still cold.
But we did our best and didn't give in to the cold!
You passed the assessment, so next time you'll be at level 2!
Sunday was the February club race!
Rain and fog have been falling since the morning. I'm not sure about heading out to sea.
Despite the daunting weather, 15 boats gathered.
Due to the weather, the start was delayed by 30 minutes.
There was a moderate northeasterly wind which was just right for the races, and four races were held!
In this wind, RSaero7 continues to take the top spot.
The RSaero 5 group also follows behind the 7 group.
Laser's Furushima has recently started participating in club races and is doing well!
Mr. Takamura, Chairman of the Japan RS Association, Jive!
Alma, a university student, is participating in a club race for the first time and is improving quickly!
Laser Radial came in second overall!
Sarah from RSaero7 won the championship, beating last year's club race annual champion, S-san. She has only just competed in the Australian RSaero Championship, so she has really improved!
After the race there will be a party and the results will be announced.
Congratulations to Sarah on your first win!
Afterwards, he looked at photos and reported on his experience at the Australian Nationals.
The race was tough, but the people at the host club, Mount Martha Yacht Club, were very kind to us and it turned out to be a fun experience.
