Introduction of sailing school
Hayama Sailing College started a sailing school in 1997. We create our own curriculum with reference to the programs of the Sailing Federation of the World and Japan and the RYA (Royal Yacht Association), and hold schools throughout the year that can improve from beginners to experienced people. From the age of 6, I started riding the OP class under the influence of my parents, and after that I grew up riding the laser class and the cruiser. When I was in college, I belonged to the yacht club and took the 470 class. After graduating, I studied in Canada for half a year and got a qualification as a cruiser instructor. The sea, the sky, and the wind tell us everything important in sailing. Let's learn together.

Ken Yamamoto
● Name: Ken Yamamoto ● Constellation: Capricorn ● Blood type: O type● A word to everyone:
After encountering a yacht at university, he started outrigger canoeing and has been enjoying sailing and paddling in the sea for many years. A yacht has the depth of wisdom that allows you to run upwind mysteriously, the exhilaration of running on the waves at top speed by manipulating the sail and rudder yourself, and friends who help each other naturally if something happens regardless of interests. It is a profound sport that provides an experience that is difficult to taste in everyday life. We will support you according to the style you want to enjoy.
Koike Seirou
● Name: Koike Seirou ● Constellation: Capricorn ● Blood type: AB● A word to everyone:

At university, I rode 470, and I was able to participate in the national competition every day with yachting. Let's share the fun of sailing together on a yacht in the Sagami Bay area where the Olympic Games are held!
Shimodaira Haruka
● Name: Haruka Shimodaira ● Constellation: Leo ● Blood type: A type● A word to everyone:
I started yachting at the Junior Yacht Club in Hayama from elementary school and was in the FJ class in high school. Yachts have fun that you can't tell just by looking at them from the land. Let's all enjoy the sea on a yacht!
Kawahara Shigeto
● Name: Shigeto Kawahara ● Constellation: Scorpio ● Blood type: O type● A word to everyone:
I've been riding a sea hopper since my second year of junior high school, and I like the sea when I'm in the swimming club when I'm in high school and in the rowing club when I'm in college. There was also a time when I was participating in a cruiser race. The fun of yachting is better understood by riding the yacht once than reading a book 10 times and browsing the net every night. Would you like to yacht too?
Voices of school students and club members
◆ Introducing the voices of Hayama Sailing Club members
Mr. Uno
Experience sailingStart sailing
Previously, I had my first ride at a yacht club at my company. I wanted to be able to do it myself, so I participated in the school, but first I participated in the experience sailing and applied for the start course. At the second start course, I felt that I was able to maneuver the ship myself, which gave me confidence. At the end of the third time, I was able to maneuver the ship without an instructor! In the future, I want to be able to ride with more confidence and without excitement.
Mr. Nariki

Basic course
I took the experience sailing → start sailing → basic course, but I thought that I had to learn more physically, so I joined the club the following year and took the course. It's been a long time since I took the last lesson, and I was worried because I had forgotten a lot, but I was able to evoke my memory by having the instructor give me a basic explanation. I would like to complete the course many times and steadily improve my level. I hope you will love the sea and nature more through yachting.
Mr. Ikeda
Start sailingI took the start course, but all the friendly instructors were kind to me, so I enjoyed improving. I was able to take a very fulfilling school because he taught me in an easy-to-understand manner.
Mori
Start sailingSince I live near the coast, I've always wanted to learn how to maneuver a yacht, but I didn't have time. I finally got time to attend the school. I would like to do my best with the goal of being able to go back and forth from home to the club by yacht.
Fatia
Start sailingThe instructors taught me very kindly. I look forward to spending the weekend here every time. The members of the club are all wonderful people, and even when they don't understand Japanese, they kindly help me with a smile.
Mr. Sato
Start sailingHalf-day school is recommended for those who are not physically fit as they can ride without worrying about the next day's tiredness. Ropework was a little difficult.
