Target audience: First-timers and experienced people

The basic course is divided into levels 1 to 3.

In Level 1 , you will have one-on-one lessons with an instructor. You will learn all the techniques for sailing a yacht in Level 1. You will also practice sailing alone on days with light winds.

In Level 2 , you will practice what you learned in Level 1, sailing alone as much as possible and sailing in the direction that is easiest for you, unless the wind is strong. You will also learn how to assemble the yacht, launch it, and land it.

Level 3 involves learning to sail upwind and downwind solo, and gaining a variety of knowledge and experience so you can safely go out to sea and return to the water on your own. For each course, you will move on to the next step once you have received approval from the instructor. Each level usually takes around five tries, depending on your age and physical strength.

From level 2 onwards, you will practice in small groups, with each person using their own boat. We recommend that you come as close together as possible. If you have experience, please let us know so we can introduce you to the appropriate course and level.

・You can take the course as many times as you like. The content will progress according to your level.
・If you are aiming to complete the basic course, we recommend becoming a club member so you can use a yacht after completing it.

・The school will be conducted with 2-3 people, but each person will use their own boat.
・If the wind is strong, an instructor will ride with you, so you can rest assured.

Application process

・Please select the date in black from the reservation form below, and then select the time and course you would like to apply for on that day that has available slots from the drop-down menu. You cannot select a time slot with 0 remaining slots.

・After you apply, HSC will officially respond to you to confirm your reservation.

・Payment by credit card will be required when completing your reservation application, but your credit card will only be charged once your reservation is officially completed.
