Leaving Hayama, the Hayama Sailing Club went on a sailing expedition to Hakata Bay!
Hakata Bay is home to prestigious yacht clubs from schools such as Seinan Gakuen and Shuyukan, as well as Fukuoka University and Japan University of Economics. It's easily accessible from airports and cities, making it a great place to go sailing. The size of the bay is also perfect for sailing!
There are also no large waves, and there are both inhabited and uninhabited islands, allowing you to enjoy sailing while enjoying nature.
This sailing tour was not planned as a racing trip, but rather a circumnavigation of Nokonoshima.
Just as we were about to set off, the wind stopped blowing...and then we found a cruiser in just the right place! Mr. H, a former member who we had arranged to meet, towed us.
Mr. H is currently on a cruise around Japan! Amazing! We gave up on going around the island halfway through and landed on the beach for a coffee break.
On the second day, we went ashore from the coast to see the cosmos and toured the island by bus.

Everyone was very satisfied with the beautiful flowers and the lunch of fried sweet potatoes and chicken sold at the shop while looking out at the sea from the hilltop! On the way back, the wind picked up and we enjoyed the downwind ride.
He said he would like to participate again, so let's go around the lap again next time!
