On November 18th and 19th, the first RSaero All Japan Championship, which became a JSAF-sanctioned event this time, and the RS Japan Open Championship, which is open to all RSsailing boat types, were held at Morito Beach in Hayama.
A total of 36 boats participated, including 23 RS Aero boats (Aero5: 14 boats, Aero6: 3 boats, Aero7: 6 boats) and 13 other boats (Category 1: 7 boats, Category 2: 6 boats), from Hayama, Shimizu, Fukuoka, Choshi, and Miyagi.
Many members of Hayama Sailing Club also participated.

On the 18th, strong winds exceeding 15m/s from the west-southwest continued, causing severe weather and the race was postponed.
At the suggestion of the RS Association, a RSaero Clinic was held for top sailors.
A rules seminar was also held by the protest committee.
The participants in the full-scale seminar were also very interested.
There was also a workshop on making used sale bags organized by the JSAF Environmental Committee!
There's a lot to see!
The reception was held at Hayama New Port. Since we weren't at sea, I guess we wouldn't get too hungry...
There was also a report on the Italian World Cup and an introduction of the clubs of the participants.
Our friendships have also deepened
A commemorative T-shirt for the tournament! It has the logos of the boats that participated printed on it.
The T-shirts we are wearing this time are sustainable T-shirts made from recycled materials! They are made by our member T's company, and they were also donated to the tournament!

So, the first day came to an end.
Looking forward to tomorrow!
The event is scheduled to start at 9am! Everyone got ready early in the morning.
Mount Fuji is beautiful, but although the sea surface is choppy due to the swell from yesterday, there is not much wind, and the sea conditions seem to be perfect for getting seasick.
Meanwhile, RSaero started, a slightly long course consisting of a triangle, up and down, and another triangle.
Next, all classes except RSaero started.
This group is divided into two, Category 1 polyethylene boats finish in the triangle, top and bottom, and center, while Category 2 high performance boats follow the same course as RSaero.
RSaero had the most participants in class 5 and there were some close races!
The RS800 in particular continues to face stressful sea conditions.
This is my first time competing in the RS200 pairs. I've been practicing hard every week!
The conditions were difficult, with the wind picking up a little and then dying down, but thanks to the efforts of the race management team, three races were held in the RSaero class and two in the RSOpen class.
The winners of the 1st RSaero All Japan Championship! From the left, they are in the aero 5, 7, and 6 classes. Congratulations!
The winners of Category 1 of the RSJapanOpen were first-time participants RSFeva and Mr. and Mrs. M,
Category 2 was won by Mr. K on an RS700!
Thank you very much to all the RS sailors who spent the two days with us!
Let's practice again and come back next year!
And thank you to all the organisers for all the long meetings and preparations!
