The Miho Midwinter dinghy race is held annually in Miho, Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This year it was held on Saturday, January 15th and Sunday, January 16th. We participated again in 2022! This is the third time that members of Hayama Sailing Club have participated!
Miho in Shizuoka Prefecture is a warm place with a great view of Mt. Fuji, making it the perfect place for a winter race! I'm really happy that they're hosting an open race regardless of class! HSC ( Hayama Sailing Club ) entered the RS Aero5 boat.

The weather is great, but there's no wind, so I'm playing badminton and waiting for the wind to blow ^_^

The wind finally picked up around noon, so the race began. Once we were out at sea, Mount Fuji looked huge!

There was also a close battle between RS aero and Laser Radial.

In weak winds, the Rsaero5 has a bit of a hard time because the sail is small!

There was only one race on the first day, and then the second day couldn't be held due to a tsunami warning. What a shame!!! But it can't be helped. I was able to interact with people from all different types of boats, and I'd like to thank the organizers for the fun opportunity. I'd like to go again if there's an open race expedition!
