There was a lot going on with the race practice sessions and junior school!

It was a bit chilly on Saturday, with a northerly wind for the first time in a while.

Once you get used to southerly winds, northerly winds with their gusts, swings and changes can feel difficult.

There was also a practice session in preparation for the RS Asia Championships in July.

Basic 3 school.

Please follow the boat right behind us!

If a gust comes your way, try to avoid overhealing by using sail trim to escape it!

The aero team practiced running over a longer distance.

Some of the boats were quite close together, and the Aero racing downwind was very impressive!

Instead, Sunday

There was a forecast that the wind would start to pick up from the south around noon, so the conditions were difficult and it was impossible to predict when the southerly wind would come in.

Before setting out, the juniors also checked the sea surface and weather forecast for today's practice.

I can almost hear them saying, "There's no wind at all."

Upper elementary school students practice all day, in the morning and afternoon.

I hope I can go out to sea this afternoon too!

Adults are also motivated!

The waves were a little high, so we supported each other as we launched.

First up is Follow the Boat.

The breeze was so light that the yacht had to heel in order to move.

Even the little kids were working hard with the tillers ^^

And after everyone went home, there was another beautiful sunset today.

Club race next weekend!

I'm hoping for good weather and good winds.
