Now that we're in December, the air has become completely winter-like.
The air is gradually becoming clearer, and Mount Fuji can now be seen clearly from Morito Beach.

Everyone was enthusiastic and participated in the starter course and the usual Basic Level 4 school this week!

There was also a junior practice session this week.
The things to be careful of change depending on the wind, but we checked sail trim and boat balance in light and gentle breezes.

Now, let's practice what we just learned out at sea!
Just then, the sea, which had been calm just a moment ago, suddenly began to surge up in the south and was covered in whitecaps.

While waiting for the wind to die down a bit, we tried some land-based exercises!

What do you do with sail trim when there's a wind?
If you feel the heel getting out of hand, extend your arms in front of your chest and quickly release the sail, and if the heel seems to be settling down, immediately pull the mainsheet back, without changing your hike-out position.
Be careful not to pull the tiller when putting out the sail.

The waves are high, so let's start from the Morito Shrine side.

Just when you think it's calmed down a little, it shoots up again.
The wind was difficult to predict.

And when you're done, let's all work together to clean up!
I was also taught how to fold the sale. I wonder if I folded it neatly?

In the afternoon the wind changed direction from south to north and was unstable, blowing up and down.

The two level 2 students also worked hard!
The wind was changing so much that it was difficult to adapt.

The racing team came out with the RS500.

And next week we will be having a lunch party on Sunday from noon ♪
Stay tuned!
