Enjoy sailing in the north wind!

The wind was blowing from the north, making it a perfect weekend for sailing, but it was a bit tough for the students in the school. There were quite a few sunken yachts visible offshore.

Yacht being outfitted
All the members of the Basic School energetically practiced sinking completely and then sinking upward!

It sank completely

You did your best under the guidance of the instructor!

This is also a female member! I wonder if she'll wake up with her small body? I hope it's not too cold.

Women also practicing the Shen-yori

In the afternoon, we practiced the basic intermediate course.

Run in a line and maintain a high level of close hold. The north wind is quite volatile and the wind is strong, so running close holds can be quite difficult, but once you overcome this you'll gain confidence.

Yacht school training

With a nice northerly breeze, the cruiser team went to Enoshima to watch the yacht race.

Fun cruise to Enoshima

In the afternoon, we went to Sashima and had lunch!

Cruise to Sashima

Even those who were sailing on a cruiser for the first time were delighted by the sense of speed.

Our next cruise is scheduled for December 24th!
