March club race held

I'm Yamamoto, your instructor!
Last Sunday we held our monthly club race.

The northerly wind is forecast to gradually shift to the southerly on the day.

As predicted, the north wind died down by the time of the skippers' meeting at 10:00 in the morning.
Completely windless...

We delayed our start time a little and waited for the wind to pick up, and gradually a steady southerly wind began to blow.

The race started 30 minutes late!

That's a good start.

Two-thirds of the boats participating in this race were RS Aero, an astonishing aero ratio that even surprised the RS All Japan.

The overall acceleration is good, so the roundabout looks like it's fast forwarded (lol).

The southerly wind gradually picked up, and although we had to make the course longer midway through, we were able to hold all four races without any problems.

In this race, Mr. S, the only gennaker boat in the aero group, RS Vareo, was in top form!
He pulled away from the other boats in close-haul races, and made spectacular breakaways in a series of races, even taking advantage of the disadvantageous gennaker course!

This year, Mr. S (confusing) in the Aero 5 had yet to lose, but he managed to stop his three-race winning streak and took the win in the club race in March!!

congratulations!
