It was the middle of Golden Week and we were blessed with sunny weather.

The temperature was rising and the pleasant weather attracted many people to come and play!

Many people came to try sailing with their families and friends, and it was a lively event.

Those who were visiting the school for the first time took turns holding the helm and practicing!

Yachts are amazing creatures; you can push the tiller, pull the mainsheet, and accelerate and turn even though the only power source is the wind.

In the annual Basic 4, participants will be divided into levels, boat types, single-handed boats,

Everyone was practicing diligently in their respective groups, including double-handed techniques!

Those who are just starting out in yachting are also doing their best in the good May winds.

There were many windy days during the holidays, and the forecast was for winds to pick up around noon on the 5th, so everyone was excited to head out to sea for a strong wind slalom race before that!

With different start times for RSTera, RSaero, and Laser, there was lively race practice with a variety of boat types.

Even Tera, which has the smallest sale, is pretty fast!

As predicted, whitecaps appeared by noon.

I'm hoping for good weather in the second half of the holidays!
