For anyone who wants to start a dialogue with the sea. The ISPA Competent Crew Course offers practical learning from the basics of navigation to applied techniques. Based on the appeal and experiences of the course held in March, we would like to invite you to your next voyage.

Day 1: Opening the door to voyages

The first step is the basics of cruising boats.

You will learn everything you need to know to operate a boat, including where the battery switch is and how to start the engine.

Finally, we set sail. By operating the sail, we got a feel for riding the wind and waves. This was our first step on the ocean, and the path to sailing began to open up.

Day 2: Short Cruise Adventure

Under blue skies, we headed for Sashima.

Along the way, we practiced rescuing people who had fallen overboard, raising awareness of safety at sea. Upon arriving at Sashima Island, we took a break and put our anchoring skills to good use. We thoroughly enjoyed the fun of cruising.

As the wind gets stronger, you will practice reefing (a technique for reducing the area of ​​the sail) and learn how to control the boat. Being able to adapt to various situations on the sea is the key to a safe and enjoyable voyage.

Day 3: Skills honed in the rain

Although we were hit with rain on the third day, the learning opportunities are endless.

With a focus on emergency response, participants gained more advanced skills through training in how to use safety harnesses, how to climb the mast, how to use the emergency tiller, and how to perform Williamson turns. This will help them develop the ability to calmly respond to sudden changes in the situation at sea.

From everyday life to adventure

Although it was only a three-day course, each participant gained new confidence and skills. The ISPA Competent Crew Course is more than just a school; it is a gateway to the sea. Through this course, you can incorporate the freedom of the sea into your daily life and take a step towards your dream.
