It's already the last weekend of August, and the midsummer weather is still continuing.
In search of some coolness, I went to Lake Nojiri in Nagano Prefecture with my kayaking team!
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first yacht sailing on Lake Nojiri, so there were a variety of yacht events taking place.
The Green Sports Club where we stayed was surrounded by large trees and had a cool breeze blowing through. It was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep when I lay down in the hammock!
There are many yachts moored. I wonder which one to rent.
I was very satisfied with the homemade cold tomato pasta!
On the way back, there was a nice breeze and we were able to get back to the club smoothly!
After taking a bath in the hot springs, we split into camping and mountain lodge groups, and had a full dinner! The night slowly passed by!
On the second day, after the kayak team's morning paddle, everyone had breakfast together. Instructor Suzuki's homemade bread was baked beautifully!
Everyone shared the work and enjoyed breakfast with sausages, eggs, and more!
On the second day, the wind was weak, so the yacht team went to Bentenjima by SUP, and the kayak team tried their hand at river kayaking to visit Bentenjima!
The sun was stronger than I expected at Lake Nojiri, but the cool natural breeze in the shade of the trees and the beautiful view of the Myoko mountain range made me feel so comfortable that I wanted to stay there forever!!
Green Sports Club, where we stayed, also offers rentals for sailboats and windsurfing SUPs. Why not try it with your friends and family?
Well, it was a calm weekend in Hayama.
This is the first school of the starter course, and after a thorough lecture you will work on rigging with the instructor.
The wind was calm and the conditions were perfect for a beginners' school!

This is the Basic 4A class.
We practiced beam reach slalom with three boats and checked the boat balance and sail trim again.

There was also a sailing experience!
The RS Quest is spacious enough to accommodate four adults.
Did you have a good memory at the end of your summer vacation?

We were hoping for a wind to pick up in the afternoon, but it was calm all day.
Perhaps the race practice was a little lacking.

We all enjoyed sailing!

Sunday was also mild and sunny, with southerly winds coming in earlier than forecast.
To all the junior high school students who work hard every week, today they took an assessment to find out what they can do and what challenges they face in the future.

Head-up bareway run.
Did you understand how sail trim and boat balance work together?

Some members enjoyed themselves among friends. Did you have a relaxed time?

The junior high school students also work together to put the items away in the rack.
There's a lot to learn, from ropework and rigging to packing up, but let's do our best!

Next week is the September club race! We look forward to your participation, both regulars and racing beginners!
