Club race at the mercy of the weather

It's September! Is the scorching heat finally subsiding? I'm not sure yet, but...

A lingering typhoon kept activity low last weekend.

The club race went ahead despite the unsettled weather.

Thunder was forecast from the morning, so we waited in the clubhouse for a while.

Someone had just returned from RSaeroWorld in the UK,

We had a report session.

Many members have asked about Hayling Island, where the World Championships were held.
It was a great opportunity to hear from everyone at the local yacht club about what was going on and about the race!

The RS Association website also reports on the RSaero World Championships in a blog, so

Please take a look.

Well, just as the thunderclouds had passed and we were about to set sail, it started raining again.

Somehow, we managed to make it through the gaps in the clouds and race, but

Now the wind has died down...

The race unfolded in a light breeze.

It was a hectic day, being at the mercy of the weather.

One race was somehow completed in a light breeze.

Shimomura, a university student, won his first championship! He's smiling while holding the cube.

Please join us again!

The next club race is on October 5th!! I hope it will be held under clear autumn skies.
