On April 3rd, the RS GAMES Spring Championship 1 was held at Morito Beach in Hayama.
Although the weather was cold enough to be described as a "return of cold" or "cold weather," a total of 15 boats participated, including 9 RSaero5, 4 aero7, 1 RS500, and 1 RSVareo, and participants came from as far away as Shimizu, Shizuoka City.
In the first and second races, there was a large easterly land breeze with a wide swing range of 40 to 90 degrees, with winds blowing alternately from the Hayama side and the Zushi side, and the racers who were able to carefully time their catches to take the wind took the lead.
After two races the wind changed 180 degrees and a due west wind of around 270 degrees and 5 to 6 knots started blowing.
After that, three races were held with a due west wind and a cut race was also included , so although it was a short course, five races were held.
The winner was the young warrior, Nakamizo-san from Shimizu on RSaero7. He started each race on time and won with his consistent sailing ability.
