Apparently a film shoot was taking place near the launch site that day, so many people were there preparing from the morning. We joined in, preparing to launch our kayaks.
There were two large Japanese flags hanging at Moroiso Shrine. We wondered if they would be used in the movie, and headed to the launch site.
The wind was strong, but it wasn't as cold as I expected, and luckily the waves were calm. The wind pushed the kayak across to Jogashima in no time. The south side of Jogashima was calm, and I was able to paddle slowly along the shore.
The southern side of Jogashima is full of natural beauty, and the view from the kayak is so relaxing that you could look at it forever without getting bored.
We rowed, keeping an eye out for places where white waves occasionally rose up, and also observing the habitat of cormorants perched on the rock faces.
By the time we returned, the wind had died down and we enjoyed paddling in silence.
I am also happy to see the participants improving every time we meet.
Let's row together again next time!
There are only two more dates left of the 2023 tour!
The next Kiritanpo hotpot tour will be on Sunday, December 10th.
Row hard and warm up with a delicious hotpot!
