Influenced by my parents, I started sailing OP class boats at the age of 6, and then grew up sailing Laser class and cruisers. During my university years, I was a member of the yacht club and sailed a 470 class boat. After graduating, I studied in Canada for six months and obtained a cruiser instructor qualification. The sea, sky, and wind teach me everything that is important in sailing. Let's learn together.

I started sailing in college and even had my sights set on the Olympics at one point. Now I want to share the joy of sailing with as many people as possible. The Tokyo Olympics will be held in 2020 near Hayama, off Enoshima. Why not take up sailing on the same stage as the Olympics?

Ken Yamamoto
●Name: Yamamoto Ken ●Star sign: Capricorn ●Blood type: O●A message to everyone:
I discovered sailing at university, and later took up outrigger canoeing, and have been enjoying sailing and paddling on the ocean for many years. Sailing is a profound sport that offers experiences that are hard to experience in everyday life, such as the profound wisdom of being able to sail upwind, the exhilaration of cutting through the waves at top speed while controlling the sails and rudder yourself, and friends who naturally help each other out if something happens, regardless of their vested interests. We will support you in a way that suits your style of enjoyment.

Seiro Koike
●Name: Seiro Koike ●Star sign: Capricorn ●Blood type: AB●A message to everyone:
I started sailing in the yacht club during my university days, and have continued to enjoy the ocean by coaching juniors, windsurfing, and fishing. Yachting is a deep sport. Come and enjoy the great ocean.

Haruka Matsumoto
●Name: Matsumoto Haruka ●Star sign: Pisces ●Blood type: O●A message to everyone:
I started sailing in high school. I spent every day sailing on an FJ, 420, 29er, and Laser. Thanks to that, I was able to win the Inter-High School Championships. In college, I got on a 470, and continued sailing every day, which allowed me to compete in the national championships. Let's come sail on a yacht together in the Sagami Bay area, where the Olympics will be held, and share the joy of sailing!

Haruka Shimodaira
●Name: Shimodaira Haruka ●Star sign: Leo ●Blood type: A●A message to everyone:
I started sailing at the Hayama Junior Yacht Club in elementary school, and sailed in an FJ class yacht in high school. There's a joy in sailing that you can't get just by looking at it from land. I encourage everyone to get out on a yacht and enjoy the sea!

Shigeto Kawahara
●Name: Shigeto Kawahara ●Star sign: Scorpio ●Blood type: O●A message to everyone:
I've been sailing on a sea hopper since I was in the second year of junior high school, and I've been on the swimming team in high school and rowing an eight in the rowing team in college. I even participated in cruiser races for a time. You'll understand the joy of sailing better by sailing once than by reading a book 10 times or browsing the internet every night. Why not give sailing a try?

Experience sailingStart sailing
I recently had my first go on a sailing trip with a company yacht club. I wanted to learn how to sail by myself, so I joined a school, but I first took part in a trial sailing and then signed up for the starter course. By the second starter course, I felt like I could steer the boat quite well, and it gave me confidence. By the end of the third time, I was able to steer the boat without an instructor! In the future, I would like to be able to sail with more confidence and without nervousness.

Basic Course
I went through trial sailing, start sailing, and the basic course, but I decided I needed to learn more with my body, so the following year I joined the club and took the course. It had been a while since my last lesson, and I was worried I had forgotten a lot, but the instructor's basic explanations helped me refresh my memory. I plan to take the course several times and steadily improve my level. I hope to learn to love the sea and nature even more through yachting.

Ikeda-san
Start sailingI took the starter course, and the friendly instructors were all very kind, so I was able to improve in a fun way. They taught me in a way that was easy to understand and tailored to my needs, so I was able to receive a very fulfilling lesson.

Mori-san
Start sailingI live near the coast, so I've always wanted to learn how to sail a yacht, but I never had the time. Finally, I was able to find the time, so I enrolled in a school. I'm going to work hard, with the goal of being able to travel back and forth between my home and the club by yacht.

Fatia
Start sailingThe instructors were all very kind and helpful. I look forward to spending every weekend here. Everyone at the club is so nice, and even when I don't understand Japanese, they're always happy to help me out with a smile.

Sato-san
Start sailingThe half-day course is recommended for those who are not confident in their physical strength, as you can ride without worrying about being tired the next day. The rope work was a little difficult.
