The sea in Hayama in December

There are only two weeks left in December.

Of those who came to ride over the weekend, about half were in wetsuits and the other half had changed into drysuits.

Yacht school meeting

On Saturday, the wind was calm, the sky was cloudy and the temperature was low, but everyone practiced and warmed up!

From lunchtime, junior member S-chan decorated the strawberries.

We had planned to hold a beginners' race and junior practice session on Sunday, but strong winds were forecast, so we decided to hold a school nearby!

Strong southerly winds were forecast, so we launched from the south side of the beach.

The RSFeva and RSZest are made of polyethylene, so they are safe even if they run aground on the beach on a rough day.

I had hoped to be able to ride well in the morning, but the wind gradually got stronger and the wind speed quickly reached 15m/s! For safety reasons, we decided to return early.

Winter weather can change in an instant.

Always sail in an upwind area so you can return quickly when the wind picks up!
