RS Feva
This new design is currently the most popular double-handed class for juniors, with over 6,000 boats sold.
This yacht is easy to assemble, light, fast, and fun for beginners. The hull is made of polyethylene, making it easy to maintain. You can concentrate on sailing without worrying about running aground on the beach. It also performs well in strong winds, allowing you to ride the waves and sail lightly.
If the boat sinks, the underside of the gunwales is non-slip, making it easy to place your foot on when raising it from a fully submerged position to a partially submerged position. The long centerboard makes it easy to raise from a partially submerged position, even for lighter sailors. A lifting rope is also included as standard equipment to make it easier to apply weight. Being able to raise it by yourself makes it suitable for both inexperienced and experienced sailors. The spacious and easy-to-use deck layout not only provides fun, but also performance as a racing boat. It is an officially certified class by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and hosts the World Championships. Junior camps are frequently held in Europe, suitable for junior high school students who have graduated from OP and small high school students. In Europe, it is supported by clubs and schools for its enjoyment beyond racing, as well as for fostering double-handed teamwork and character development. It has been successful in stopping the decline in junior youth sailing in European countries such as the UK, Norway, France, and Italy.
It is also beginning to be introduced in the United States, Australia, and Asian countries.
The ideal weight for two people in international races is 100kg-115kg, but for normal use it can accommodate weights from 50kg to 150kg.
