About the sea kayak "buddy plus"

The four main concepts when designing the mother boat, Buddy

1. A boat suited to the Japanese sea kayaking style
2. Boats tailored to the Japanese physique
3. Boats suited to Japanese sea conditions
4. Japanese Transportation. Boats tailored to housing conditions

The "Buddy Plus" has the same bottom shape and size as the Buddy, but the only difference is the volume around the deck. It is designed with ample legroom for larger people.

A boat tailored to the Japanese sea kayaking style

The size and type of kayak you choose will depend on how you plan to play.
There are also circumstances that make it difficult for many Japanese people to take long vacations.
However, Japan is close to the sea, which is a field, and the terrain is varied, so depending on the conditions, it is possible to have very fulfilling touring experiences.
This boat is easy to use and close to home, and is sized with medium-distance touring or short camping in mind.

Boats tailored to the Japanese physique

The basic design concept of Buddy remains unchanged, and the current model widens the upper part of the front deck, greatly increasing the freedom of movement around the feet so that even those who, although the average height of Japanese people is around 176 cm, and who have slightly larger stomachs and thighs, may find the boat too narrow and restrict their freedom of movement, can still enjoy the light and nimble pedaling feel of Buddy.

A ship tailored to Japan's sea conditions

The bow shape, designed with the wave-cutting characteristics seen in ocean-going Japanese boats in mind, is less likely to be hit by waves, and its moderate length, keel depth and balance are designed to allow it to move freely even in the triangular waves of the currents, which vary from cape to cape.

A boat tailored to Japan's transportation and housing conditions

Many sea kayakers struggle with transporting their equipment in their car and storing it at home.
A boat that is too long, too big, or too heavy can be depressing to even go out on.
The overall length is kept to just under 4.70m so as not to exceed the length of most private passenger cars.
The material is high-grade FRP, which has been made lighter without sacrificing strength or lifespan. It is also available in a three-section version that can be stored indoors even for those living in apartments, and the boat can be moved using an elevator.
The ultra-lightweight Kevlar carbon specification makes it easy for women and the elderly to carry, weighing in at around 15kg. Even divided into three parts, it weighs just 17kg.
