Target audience: experienced sailors

This course is limited to daytime in good weather within 10 nautical miles of the coast. Its goal is to give you enough knowledge and skill to be a skipper who can take responsibility for the crew and the boat. After you earn the Competent Crew certificate, create opportunities to actually sail: go cruising with friends who have plenty of sailing knowledge and experience, or gain experience as crew.

The hsc club also creates cruising opportunities. Please take Day Skipper once you have gained a reasonable amount of experience. Only those who have completed the Competent Crew course can take it.
