The first kayaking skill improvement course of 2022! Let's have fun practicing and increase our experience and knowledge this year too!
Have you ever seen a nautical chart?
Check the route on the nautical chart to Chojagasaki and set off!
The wind is from the north, but there are quite a few waves. 🥴 Be careful of side waves as you paddle. 🌊
Mount Fuji has been visible since the beginning of the year and the water is incredibly clear! 😊
I was a little nervous about the big swells, but the instructor told me it was important not to be afraid of the waves and to just keep paddling at the same speed! So I followed his advice and paddled as hard as I could.
When asked if it was safe to land on Isshiki Beach, I thought it would be OK, so we landed at a spot where the waves seemed smaller. The waves get stronger as you leave Morito Beach, so if you keep going just because Morito Beach is safe, it's going to be difficult.

The wind was weak, so sailing a yacht seemed quite unsatisfactory. It might be fun to try a sea kayak race every once in a while. In the afternoon, we had a paddling skill improvement course. Please feel free to join the skill improvement course as many times as you like during the winter!

On the way back, we were hit by a tailing wave and quickly returned to Najima. There was a club yacht race going on, so we watched for a bit.
